Proxy Delay Calculator
Estimate how many proxies you need from your SKU count, monitor delay, and number of requests each website allows per IP.
Proxy sizing
Calculate proxy count before you lower monitor delays
A faster delay increases request volume across every SKU you track. This proxy calculator translates that load into a practical proxy pool size, helping you avoid rate limits and keeping your IPs from getting banned.
Target and Amazon rest-time assumptions are built in.
Use the same millisecond delay configured in your monitor.
Formula
How the proxy calculator works
The calculator first converts delay into requests per minute, then compares total monitoring load against the selected site's per-proxy request limit.
Requests per SKU
60,000 / delay A 3,000 ms delay equals 20 checks per minute for each monitored SKU.
Total Request Load
requests x SKUs Multiply per-SKU checks by the number of products or tasks you monitor.
Proxy Pool Size
load / rest limit Divide total request load by the selected site's safe per-proxy request limit.
Proxy calculator FAQ
Answers for sizing a monitoring proxy pool
How many proxies do I need for monitoring? +
It depends on how many SKUs you monitor, your delay in milliseconds, and how long each site should rest a proxy between requests. Lower delays and larger SKU lists require more proxies.
What does delay mean in the calculator? +
Delay is the time between checks for each SKU, entered in milliseconds. A smaller delay checks more often and increases the number of requests your proxy pool has to carry.
Why are results rounded to the next five proxies? +
Proxy pools are easier to purchase and manage in blocks. Rounding up also gives a small buffer instead of sizing the pool exactly at the calculated limit.
Can I use this as a Shopify proxy delay calculator? +
You can use the same calculation model for Shopify or other monitoring workflows, but the current site presets are Target and Amazon. For other sites, treat the result as directional unless you know the correct delay time.
